Kevin L. Maynard is an arts leader, consultant, and advocate with over 15 years of experience in arts management, public art planning, and nonprofit leadership. As the Executive Director of Opening Nights at Florida State University, he curates performances that spark connection and conversation in Tallahassee and the surounding area. Kevin also works independently with arts organizations and municipalities to strengthen their impact through strategic consulting, board development, and community-focused programming in public art and the performing arts.
Kevin served as Executive Director of Quad City Arts, where he launched public art and placemaking projects, expanded the region’s sculpture program, and championed initiatives that empowered artists and engaged communities. His leadership is rooted in the belief that the arts should be accessible, inspiring, and reflective of the people they serve.
Kevin is a founding member and co-host of There’s No Business Like…, a podcast exploring the performing arts and touring industry. He’s spoke at regional and national conferences on topics ranging from arts administration, why the arts are important, and how to make your case for the arts.
Kevin is an avid runner having run ultramarathons that range from 50K to 50 Miles, loves finding new roads to take his motorcycle down, and is always ready to see a live performance.
